Experienced forest workers for employment in Sweden wanted.
Skogsman Scandinavia AB is looking for new employees for manual forestry work in mid- and northern Sweden.
Skogsman Scandinavia AB is working with manual forestry work for large companies and forest owners in mid- and northern Sweden and we need to extend our operation with new employees. We are looking for people in the extended Baltic Region that are experienced in manual forestry work with chainsaw and bush saw. Our tasks are mainly pre-commercial thinning where you work in a group at a designated area. We also have tasks for care for natural reservations, power lines and plantning.
The work is demanding and performed in temperatures between + 30 and – 10 deg C, in sunshine, rain and lighter snowfall. You will eat your lunch in the forest and also take care of the daily maintenance of the equipment there. The standard working hour are 07.00 – 16.00 weekdays, travelling time to and from the objects is outside these hours. Performance of the tasks demands good physical strength and the mental ability to perform the work during 5 days per week in 6 month per year (May-November). If work for this year is performed well there will be possibilities for full season work during 2009.
We are now looking for eight more people for work between July until end of season, November-December depending on snow. You shall be in good physical condition and have experience in forestry work as well able to communicate enough for understanding working conditions in English. The compensation for work performed is very good and will be calculated by hectare. We are following the regulations of the Swedish union with guarantees you the same salary and equipment as our Swedish workers. We will also provide equipment, housing and transportation for the working days. You will pay for your trip to Sweden yourself as well as for food and other costs outside work. When working shorter time than 6 months during one year in Sweden you will pay income taxes in your home coutry.
We will choose eight people for an evaluation period of two weeks, if the work during this period is performed well and everything else is working fine you will get a contract for at least 3 months with extension depending on snow conditions in November and December.
